Hi everyone, today I just wanted to touch on a few ways to manage or reduce stress. Let’s be honest we all have faced stress sometime in our lives there is no denying this, but the effects of stress can lead to some unfavorable effects on our overall wellbeing. Stressful experiences can come in many forms, such as a demanding job, an argument with a loved one, a diagnosis of a chronic disease which I believe does not get enough recognition as it should, a diagnosis of a chronic illness or mental illness can be very stressful on the individual involved even other families as well.

Below I have put together a short list on ways to manage or reduce stress. Happy Reading!

The first step toward managing or reducing stress is learning what your triggers are. Makes sense when you know what pushes you buttons you will know how to avoid it. Stresses are a normal part of life and some of which we have to accept. So, what should we do when we are faced with stress? We must CHANGE our reactions to them.

Reduce or Manage The Stress In Your Life

3 Ways We Can Manage Or Reduce Stress

  1. Relaxation techniques – These can be activities that will trigger a relaxation response, a physiological response which is proven to help lower your blood pressure, heart rate and stress hormones. You can achieve this by practicing meditation, guided imagery, and deep breathing exercises.

  2. Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Unhealthy ways of thinking can affect your emotions. If you can identify your negative thinking when it comes to you and learn to automatically replace it with health or positive thoughts. As CBT Life Coach I can help you with this, but for persons with issues of mental illness should first speak with a Licensed Therapist.

  3. Goal Setting – When we set goals for ourselves, we have a positive sense of commitment, we feel we’re in control and we are optimistic. I would always recommend setting goals for your career, relationships, creativity, and health.

Blessings to all my readers, clients and of course my followers.
